Subscribe to Ratay's newsletter I am a Czech-American composer of contemporary classical music living in New Mexico. I have my Doctor of Musical Arts in World Music Composition, which means I am interested in and influenced by a wide variety of music. I write in many different styles and genres, but am currently engrossed in writing operatic and vocal works! In addition to composing, I teach Theory and Composition at the University of New Mexico, and am a teaching artist through the Active Learning Through Opera program with the Santa Fe Opera.
